Graduate Software Engineer

Our Graduate Software Engineer position is the beginning of your professional career. Under the guidance of senior colleagues you will develop your engineering competencies with hands-on project work. Working within the Engineering department you will design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for tools and equipment designed for test and manufacture. Developing software and tools in support of data analysis and quality control you will also be required to provide ad hoc support to other departments.
We are recruiting the brightest and finest graduates to join our expert teams — Typically you will have, or be expecting, a 2:1 degree or better in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
You will have a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering and an aptitude for learning new technologies, demonstrating knowledge of programming and scripting languages; Python, C++. Some knowledge of MATLAB, LabVIEW .NET, HTML, MySQL would be advantageous.

Production Operator
About the Position
Headquartered in California, Kaiam’s operations in the UK began in 2013 when the company purchased the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in West Lothian. Since then, the company has developed and expanded its network and customer base on an international level.Kaiam is an emerging market leader in the research, development and manufacturing of optoelectronic equipment used within data-communication centres.
Founded by leading technologists from the optical networking industry, the team has a track record of delivering breakthrough approaches that change the rules of the marketplace.
In preparation for the future and the natural growth we are experiencing Kaiam will shortly be implementing a significant ramp plan in terms of people, production and new product introduction.
We are now recruiting for Skilled Production Operators. Due to the nature of the work the ideal candidate will:
- Possess excellent attention to detail skills
- Demonstrate great manual dexterity skills
- Be capable of following written work procedures and graphic representations
We are especially keen to speak with candidates who have had experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment and those who have direct familiarity with:
- Pick and place machines
- Test Equipment
- Wafer Fab knowledge and practical ability to handle silicon wafers
