KAIAM CORPORATION JOINS SU2P as an INDUSTRIAL PARTNER

Another leap in Scottish-US technology collaboration

LIVINGSTON, SCOTLAND, UK — February 10, 2016 — Kaiam Corporation, a leader in hybrid Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) technology, along with SU2P, announce that following a meeting between Sir Jim McDonald, Principal and Vice Chancellor of the University of Strathclyde and Bardia Pezeshki, CEO of Kaiam Corporation, Kaiam is delighted to confirm that the company has agreed to become an Industrial Partner of SU2P, a unique collaboration between world-class US and Scottish research teams in photonics.

Kaiam, headquartered in California and with its state of the art manufacturing facility in Livingston, Scotland already has strong links to Stanford University. The company understands that by working with SU2P more formally it will be able to develop new and productive relationships with the five Scottish Universities involved in this initiative namely, Strathclyde, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Heriot-Watt and St Andrews.

Bardia Pezeshki, Kaiam’s CEO commented: “I believe that becoming an Industrial Partner of SU2P will bring a number of benefits including collaborative R&D projects, innovative technology workshops and importantly, will help us to identify and attract the highly skilled people we need for Kaiam to continue growing its R&D team in Scotland.”
